HUNTING
WELCOME TO MOZAMBIQUE
The Musengezi Concession is one of the few areas left in Africa where you have the opportunity of a true dangerous 7 safari combined with a variety of plains game and fishing. Legadema offers diverse hunting grounds, including vast grasslands, flood plains, palms savannahs and thick forest. Our exclusive 350 000 acres are situated in the middle of more than 5 million unfenced acres.
Greeted on the North side by the Cahora Bassa lake, by the Magoe Reserve in the East, and by the Fundumwe River in the West, the Missinguezi Concession is an area exclusively reserved for Legadema’s clients. This concession is known as one of the most bountiful game areas in Mozambique, as well as in Africa.
The South bank of Lake Cahora Bassa is home to a large number of hippos and 13+ foot crocodiles.

In approximately 40 000 acres along the Musengezi River and the Cabora Bassa there are local villages. Legadema support the local community and are committed to do constant social upliftment of the community. As such, Legadema is providing aid in uplifting the living conditions of the local people.
Legadema will install water pumps at strategic points for the local people
Legadema supports the local school and will build two classrooms for the area
Our intermediate term plan is to build two classrooms for the local children.
Legadema supply the community with pesticides for their crops and cattle
Legadema employ the local people to clear roads, camp cleaning and camp staff, tracking, monitoring of game, controlling of illegal fishing and anti poaching.
Legadema do problem animal control for the local community and government. As such, we eliminate animals that threaten the lives of the local people.
The only meat that the local people eat is when we hunt animals with clients. If we don’t hunt, then they don’t eat meat. It is very fulfilling to give hunted animals meat over to the chairperson of the villages that manage the sharing of the meat and to see all the happy faces.
Legadema are also assisting other areas in the province to control problem animals.
Legadema incentivise local people when they give us info on poaching activities.
